PHONICS PROGRAM
The ReadBright Phonics Program is divided into three levels:
Each level addresses a specific set of skills and these skills are accompanied by sight words. Each level is made up of three components: A ReadBright Workbook, printable resources, and decodable readers. Each component is described below.
Workbooks:
These masterful and comprehensive workbooks incorporate the basic phonics rules over the course of three books. Book One introduces students to Kid in the Middle words (CVC words), Consonant Digraphs, and Blends. The second book presents the Magic e, and Walking Talking Vowels. The last book familiarizes students with the Ruling R and More Sounds.
Each book is comprised of three sections: Phonics Rules, Sight Words, and Special Rules. All skills are cumulatively reviewed as new skills are taught, and are presented with fun, student-friendly activities and reading exercises. These pages are appropriately geared to the skill level of each book.
By including the essential elements of phonemic awareness, blending, segmentation, decoding and encoding, these all-encompassing workbooks build a solid foundation of phonetic skills for every student.

Each level of the program is paired with an audio download of songs that correspond to the skills taught in that level. Adorable, fun, and educational, these songs help students retain the skills that they have learned. These audio downloads are an exciting addition to every classroom!
Classroom teachers who have purchased the entire program may obtain an additional download which contains printable versions of many components of the curriculum. It includes a teacher’s guide with dictation words, assessments, homework phonics flashcards, sight word flash cards, resources for teachers, and take-home readers in coloring book form. Copyright permission for making printouts or additional downloads applies only for the year that teachers have purchased the ReadBright program.

These engaging and beautifully illustrated 12-page story books incorporate the skills, rules, and sight words taught in the ReadBright program. There are a total of seven sets of readers. The first three sets of readers correspond to Book 1 of the decodable workbooks. The next two sets of readers correspond with Book 2, and the last two sets of readers are paired with Book 3, the final workbook. The readers are specifically formulated to contain only words and skills that the students have already mastered. The skills in the readers are cumulative, providing students with a constant review of previously learned words and phonetic concepts. Comprehension questions are included at the end of every story to assess students’ understanding. Drills at the back of each reader review the phonics skill and sight words of that book. The fun, engaging style of the books, along with the methodical step-by step system, enables students to fully absorb the reading process. A delightful, exciting introduction to reading, these decodable readers develop and enhance students’ reading confidence and ability!
